Getting Started

How can I sign up?
You can sign up through our website or mobile app by following the prompts and entering your information.

How do I book classes?
Once you’ve created an account and selected a pass or membership, simply navigate to our schedule and start booking.

Trial & Memberships

How do I get the Free Week Trial, and what does it include?
Our Free Week Trial is an introductory offer that includes 7 classes to be used within a 2-week period. The trial begins as soon as it’s applied to your account, and any unused credits will expire at the end of the 2 weeks.
If you’re unable to book a class while you still have credits, you may be attempting to schedule a class beyond the trial’s expiration date.

How do I cancel my membership?
Membership cancellations must be processed by a staff member. Please contact us at studio@akoafitness.com or call (908) 319-1061 for assistance.

Class Experience

What should I expect in a typical class?
Our classes are designed for all fitness levels and typically provide a full-body workout, unless otherwise specified in the class description.

How long are the classes?
Classes range from 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the format.

Which class is most beginner-friendly?
We recommend our Slow Sculpt class and any of our non-heated classes for beginners.

Are there modifications for beginners?
Yes! Our instructors provide both modifications for those building up strength and amplifications for those seeking an extra challenge.

Studio & Preparation

What should I bring?
Please bring water and a mat. Mats are available if needed, but we encourage bringing your own. All other props are provided.

When should I arrive for class?
Please arrive early. Doors are locked promptly at the start of class, and late entry is not permitted.

What Should I wear to class? 

We recommend wearing comfortable, breathable clothing that allows for a full range of movement. Pilates is typically done in bare feet or grip socks.

Class Types & Environment

How hot are the hot classes? How warm are the warm classes?
Hot classes range from 90–105°F, depending on class size, using infrared heat and heated air.
Warm classes range from 75–85°F and are ideal for those easing into heated workouts.

Waitlist & Booking Policies

How does the waitlist work?
Our waitlist operates on a first-come, first-served basis. When a spot opens, everyone on the waitlist receives a text notification to accept or decline the spot. The first person to respond secures the booking.
If you do not receive a confirmation text that you were moved off the waitlist, you are still on the waitlist.

Cancellations & Fees

What is your cancellation policy?
We require at least 10 hours’ notice to cancel a class.

Is there a penalty for late cancellations or no-shows?
Yes. Late cancellations (within 10 hours of class) incur a $5 fee, and no-shows incur a $10 fee. Exceptions are made only for legitimate emergencies and should not be relied upon for last-minute schedule changes.
